Local magazine El Puente put out the call and The Nica Dev
Fund answered!
Thanks to the generous help of the Del Mar/Carmel Valley
Sharks Soccer Club in California, we were able to get over
30 sets of *new* jerseys, shorts and socks to these kids.
They may not pass like Zidane but they think they do!
This just took some ingenuity and filling up my surfboard bag
a few times to get them all down here. What a thrill it was to
see the kids faces when they received the first new uniforms
of their lives. Additional jerseys were given to the
communities of El Ostional and Escamequita.
Special thanks to Director, Noel "Fori" Alvarez and his
coaches for their dedication to the youth in their community.

Uniform projects are really special. The
kids love them. Think about ways you could
help, perhaps bring some old cleats,
shorts, a few balls when you come and visit.
